Harmonizing Fluid Power Competencies
The CETOP Education Commission focuses on defining harmonized pan-European requirement profiles for all qualification levels. Our Strategic Plan details key initiatives:
- Awareness: Elevate understanding and recognition of CETOP qualifications.
- Clarity: Ensure National Associations have a clear vision for effective implementation.
- Network: Build a robust network of vocational excellence centers.
- Communication: Establish a strong education communication platform.
- Best Practices: Share exemplary practices and quality control methods.
- Modernization: Update qualification structures to include integrated electronics and control.
Level of competence
– LEVEL 1 –
Foundational Execution
- Performs tasks following established procedures.
- Activities are typically repetitive or of short duration.
- Requires seeking assistance or adhering to prescribed protocols when encountering problems.
– LEVEL 2 –
Applied Technical Understanding
- Executes diverse tasks requiring comprehension of technical factors.
- Involves interpreting data (e.g., tolerances, operating methods) and applying varied, non-repetitive instructions.
- Capable of performing checks, simple diagnostics, and adapting to changes.
- Often necessitates teamwork.
– LEVEL 3 –
Strategic Leadership and Problem Solving
- Manages a broad and complex range of activities, demonstrating initiative and decision-making in technical areas (e.g., specifications, resources, processes).
- Proficient in developing operational plans, identifying, and rectifying errors.
- Assumes significant responsibility for work quality and results.
CETOP Approved Centres
There are several Education Centres throughout Europe which have courses related to the CETOP Education Recommendations. On request of the related national CETOP Member Association, some of these Centres have been acknowledged and approved as CETOP Approved Education Centres. They fulfill the requirements of the CETOP guidelines for approved centres and the processes associated with quality assurance and quality control of competence based qualifications.
